Are Ideas our own?

Over the many years now of making videos and art, I've gotten to a place where I'm not even sure ideas are mine. I've realized that some of the best, most passionate ideas come out of nowhere when I'm on a vibe. So how can I really take responsibility for these ideas? I simply set myself up in places to receive these ideas. It's kinda beautiful if you think about it. There's no pressure on the creative process, it's just about following your interests and pursuing "the vibe".

Figure out the things I like, what puts me in a "vibe"

(some go-to things for me...)

- Darkness

- Candles

- Warm room

- Coffee

- Closed off room

The list can go on, but my point is to learn what makes me comfortable. What are my things and then running with them? see where that goes, no rush on time. This doesn't mean to slack, but forcing the idea when the seed wasn't sprouted naturally will kill the whole plant.

The idea needs to sprout naturally, the execution is on me

(this idea comes sprung from a discussion I heard on the YNK podcast)

Why the blog

As WaveChange began to grow, I found myself getting caught up in the momentum of it that I lost the fun in documenting what I was doing...
